Abstract

When the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic is still happening in Indonesia, the government also faces another health issue, namely Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). The policy regarding social activity restriction affects the preventive measure of DHF in community. This study aims to description community activities in controlling breeding places of Aedes sp, area risk levels and vector density during the Covid-19 pandemic and the determinant factor. This study is observational research with a cross-sectional design. The sample was to 136 households in the endemic Gondokusuman District of Yogyakarta with proportionate stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed through simple and multiple logistic regression tests (α = 0.05). The results show that the control measures for Aedes sp breeding places in the society are still low; the high level of vector density proves this based on House Index (HI), Container Index (CI), and Breteau Index (BI) indicators. This district is also at a high risk to be the breeding places of Aedes sp based on Maya Index (MI) indicators. The determinant factor that affects this condition is the non-optimal support of health workers/cadres during the Covid-19 pandemic. This factor also escalated by implementing social restriction, negative attitudes, and lack of knowledge.
